I work with teens, young adults, and adults who are seeking meaningful change and support around relational, behavioral, mental, physical, or spiritual concerns.
Standing barefoot on a hot gravel road, looking ahead was my dad asking me to get in, looking behind me was my mom asking me to stay. Choices. Metaphors. The human experience.
We are all here with the responsibility to live our lives and share our lives with others. We make challenging choices every day, and we can’t avoid the hurt that our decisions cause ourselves and others. What we can do is learn how to love ourselves and others so that we can improve our human experience and that of our neighbors.
Mental health was one of my saviors. It was in the rooms of counselors where I was able to get honest with myself and learn about myself. I was shown “choice” as a way to make a difference in my life for the better. Ever since then, I wanted to provide that same opportunity to others.
